Contribute with Love, Share with Compassion

The Charity Month (every August) was established following a decision by the Catholic Bishops of Rwanda in 1997 during the General Assembly of Caritas Rwanda.

The campaign aims to mobilize resources to strengthen Caritas Nyarwanda at all levels (from Basic Communities to Parishes, Dioceses and national level), so that Caritas can respond quickly and effectively to vulnerable people and those affected by emergencies.

This solidarity call is for everyone, Catholics and all people of goodwill.

You can make your contribution:

  • Through the Caritas of your Basic Community, Centre, Parish or Diocese.

  • During Holy Mass when a special collection for the Month of Charity and Mercy is organized.

  • Via the CARITAS RWANDA mobile code: 18281077905#

Your generosity helps Caritas to support :
• People affected by disasters;
• People living in poverty and with limited means;
• The sick;
• Older people;
• And others in vulnerable situations.

Your contribution big or small is an expression of love and solidarity. When we reach out to someone in need, we bring hope, dignity and compassion into their life.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
