Implemented in the Transit Camp of Gashora, Bugesera · Goal: To promote self-reliance and socio-economic inclusion among evacuees from Libya, refugees, asylum seekers, and members of the surrounding host communities. · Target population: Asylum Seekers and host community members · Area of intervention: Bugesera District

Caritas Rwanda Reviewed PATHs Project Progress and Expanded Livelihood Opportunities for Evacuees and Host Communities

Caritas Rwanda and its partners have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening livelihoods for evacuees and host communities through the PATHs Project. Following a successful five-month review, the project will expand vocational training opportunities and support outstanding graduates in launching income-generating activities, helping them turn newly acquired skills into sustainable livelihoods and greater self-reliance.

Caritas Rwanda and Caritas Kabgayi are nurturing a new generation of Church leaders committed to compassion, justice, and service. Through an awareness session at Saint Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, seminarians deepened their understanding of the Caritas mission and reaffirmed their commitment to placing the poor at the center of their pastoral ministry, inspired by the Gospel and the Church’s social teaching.
